With the looming Holiday break at hand, the River Lakes girls’ hockey team played two games that week. On Tuesday, Dec. 17, the girls beat Detroit Lakes, 6-0, at Richmond Arena. Their Thursday appointment versus Alexandria was a weather-related postponement. Back to skating on Saturday, Dec. 21, the Lady Stars toppled Mankato West, 5-1, again at Richmond Arena. (Note: In the Mankato West game, the Stars’ Sophia Hess popped in 4 goals and recorded 1 assist).
