The River Lakes hockey girls started the new year with a split decision. On Thursday, Jan. 5, the Stars were edged by Fergus Falls, 3-2, at Koronis Civic Arena. Friday, however, the River Lakes girls skated to a commanding 5-2 victory over Northern Lakes.
