·

The Home Builders Care Foundation (HBC), in affiliation with the Home Builders Association of Fargo-Moorhead (HBA of F-M) and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Past President’s Foundation, has awarded North Dakota State University (NDSU) construction management student, Stephanie Roos of South Haven a $2,000 scholarship. A junior at NDSU, Stephanie would one day like to supervise or manage a construction firm and feels that the residential industry would be an excellent business to be a part of. Last summer she interned with the design/build firm NOR-SON, Inc. in the Brainerd lakes area. She is involved in NDSU’s NAHB student chapter, vice president for the Society of Women Engineers student chapter, secretary for the AGC student chapter, member of the Phi Eta Sigma honor society and National Society of Collegiate Scholars and has been awarded many scholarships. The HBC awards scholarships to students excelling in construction related fields who are members of the NAHB student chapters at North Dakota State University, Minnesota State University-Moorhead, Minnesota State Community and Technical College in Moorhead or North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton. HBC, the HBA of F-M’s charitable organization, is dedicated to raising funds for causes such as skill training, education and projects related to the housing industry. Over the past ten years, the foundation has awarded over $89,000 in scholarships to students enrolled in local schools supporting the building industry.
