Sandra Lindquist, 64

Sandra Lindquist of Eden Valley died Sunday, Jan. 7, 2024, in Florida. She was 64.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 19, at the Litchfield Christian Church. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Johnson-Hagglund Funeral and Cremation in Litchfield, and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Interment will be in the Union Cemetery in Manannah.

Sandra Renae Holmberg was born Oct. 14, 1959, to Wesley and Darlene (North) Holmberg in Litchfield. She graduated from Litchfield High School. Sandra was united in marriage to Rodney Sommerfeld in Litchfield in 1981. She was united in marriage to Lynn Lindquist in Eden Valley in 2002.

After high school, Sandra worked for the Meeker County DNR, followed by caring for friends’ children in her home, being a bartender, a homemaker for Augustana home care, and most recently a customer service representative at BI Performance Services in Eden Valley. She was a member of the Peace United Church of Christ in Eden Valley. She always had candy in her purse for the grandkids. Sandra enjoyed camping, playing cards with church friends, and baking. She also loved exploring gift shops, and traveling which she got to do thanks to her brother Curt.

Sandra was preceded in death by her father Wesley Holmberg, husband Lynn Lindquist, son-in-law Todd Shoutz, brother Loren Holmberg, and godmother Ardis Anderson.

She is survived by her children Sara Shoutz of Litchfield, Jennifer (and John) Condon of Eagle Bend, Wesley (and Teri) Sommerfeld of Big Lake, and Chris (and Alycia) Lindquist of Becker; grandchildren Zoe and Cyrus Shoutz, Lucas and Emma Condon, Jazmine and Lee Lindquist, Destini Anderson, Mackenzie Strumann, Harlo Lind, and Nienna Palmer; mother Darlene Holmberg; brothers Brian (and Joan) Holmberg of Litchfield, Kent (and Janet) Holmberg of McGregor, Chad (and Mary) Holmberg of Grove City, and Curt Holmberg of Eden Valley; sister-in-law Jocelyn Holmberg of Buffalo; former husband Rodney Sommerfeld; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her Father Wesley Holmberg; husband Lynn Lindquist; son-in-law Todd Shoutz; brother Loren Holmberg; and Godmother Ardis Anderson.
