Schiefelbein places second in skating competition

Sonny Schiefelbein, 13, recently participated in the Star of the North Figure Skating Competition held in June at the Municipal Athletic Complex in St. Cloud.

Sonny tied for the second-place medal in the Artistic Division, one of the largest categories in the event, with a total of nine competitors. Dressed as Doris Day, she skated to “Whatever Will Be, Will Be (Que Sera, Sera),” the music Day made famous.

Sonny is the daughter of Cathy and Frank Schiefelbein III of Kimball.
