Nicollet Schmitz (center) was crowned Little Miss Watkins in the annual pageant, this year held in the Village Hall because of torrential rains, thunderstorms, and even a tornado not far from Watkins. The show must go on, and it did. Along with Nicollet are Princesses Lillian Lydeen (left) and Lainey Manuel (right) Friday evening, Aug. 4, a little late, but all safe.

Schmitz crowned Little Miss Watkins
