School Board Elections Nov. 4

Five candidates are running for school board elections. Four spots are available, three four-year terms are open as well as one two-year term. Dorothy Kersten, Jerome Kuechle and Matthew Serbus are vying for four-year terms while Marguerite Laabs and Tim Peglow are running for a two-year term. Elections will be from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8. Voters from two precincts will be able to vote in the elections. The first precinct includes the City of Kimball, the Townships of Maine Prairie, Fair Haven, Luxemburg, Kingston, Lynden and Forest Prairie. Residents of these communities will vote at Kimball Area High School in the south gym foyer. Precinct two includes the City of St. Augusta, who vote at the St. Augusta City Hall. Each of the candidates for school board had different reasons for running. Information in the “Kimball Schools” section of the Tri-County News Web site gives a glimpse of each candidate, issues they want to work on and suggestions to improve Kimball Public Schools.
