I believe that the two school board members who are opposed to appointing Tim Peglow to the board position vacated by Matt Serbus owe the taxpayers of District 739 an explanation. It is obvious that Tim wants to serve on the school board for the community, since he has applied for a position in the past two elections and has lost by only a small number of votes. I realize that it is the board’s discretion as to how to fill a vacancy, but it seems to me that the board is not listening to the taxpayers of the district. Another option would be to place it on the ballot this fall and let the people decide who to elect. I welcome an explanation, either private or public. Alice Robinson
