School Board Recognition Week

·

The Minnesota School Boards Association (MSBA) has set Feb. 26-March 2 as School Board Recognition Week in Minnesota. Through this designated time, MSBA has hoped to build an awareness and understanding of the vital function an elected Board of Education plays in our society. The Kimball Area School District is joining with other districts throughout the state to recognize the important contributions board members make to communities and school districts. “Minnesotans benefit every day from the dedicated energies and countless hours devoted by these public servants. School board members unselfishly contribute their time and talents toward the advancement of public education. They represent a continuing commitment to local citizen control and decision-making in public education,” said John K. Tritabaugh, Kimball Area Schools superintendent. Board members serving the Kimball Area School District are Dorothy Kersten, Jerome Kuechle, Marguerite Laabs, Tim Peglow, Doug Stenger and Dave VanVleet. These board members received a certificate of appreciation for their time and effort at the board meeting Feb. 15.
