A senior driver improvement program will be offered from 5-9 p.m. Tuesday, June 15, and Thursday, June 17, at Apollo High School Community Education, 1000 44th Ave. N., St. Cloud. A four-hour refresher course will be from 12-4 p.m. Thursday, June 10, at the Minnesota Highway Safety and Research Center, 1805 SE Hwy. 10, St. Cloud. Another refresher course will be from 5-9 p.m. Monday, June 14, at Health Partners Central MN Clinic, 1245 15th St. N., St. Cloud. These courses are taught by certified instructors from the Minnesota Highway Safety and Research Center. Driver safety, confidence and comfort are enhanced by using the most up-to-date research in the field, including the latest visual scanning and steering techniques, anti-lock braking (ABS) skills, airbag information, driver distraction, road rage and new vehicle technology.
