Seventh-grade Kimball boys basketball wrap-up

The seventh-grade Kimball Cubs boys basketball team wrapped up their 9-5 season at their annual CMC tournament held Saturday, Feb. 25, at Howard Lake High School. The team started the day with a familiar foe, HL-W-W who earlier in the week, the Cubs had defeated at the buzzer in a game that saw scoring runs by both teams. The tournament game was no different. The team came up short in the end, 35-32 but played a great game. The Cubs defeated the Irish of Maple Lake, 36-14 in the second round to earn a spot in the consolation game. The Cubs fought hard in this game, but would lose to B-B-E by a score of 28-32.

This team was a lot of fun to coach this season. From the first practice to the last, I was very impressed with how hard they worked and their dedication to learning more about the game. I would like to thank the team for their hard work and dedication. I look forward to watching this team in the future.

The team and I would like to thank the families and fans for their support at our games. Go Cubs!
