Sharon Haugen of St. Cloud, formerly of Kimball, died Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2009. She was 69.
A memorial gathering will be held from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Homes in St. Cloud.
Sharon was born Feb. 5, 1940, to Lloyd and Carmen (Anderson) Austin in New Rockford, N.D. She married Eugene “Gene” Haugen March 4, 1960. Sharon loved gardening, sewing, dancing and laughing and especially loved being grandma to “her boys.”
Sharon’s kindness touched everyone she came in contact with. She was a generous, loving person who will be missed by her family and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her brothers Ken, Wayne and Jimmy.
Sharon is survived by her husband Gene of St. Cloud; children Mark of St. Cloud, and Jennifer (and Donald) Fortner of St. Cloud; grandsons Brady Haugen, Zachary Luepke and Max Fortner; sisters Marjorie Austin of St. Cloud and Ramona Galitz of Waukesha, Wis.
Sharon called Debbie her angel. The family would like to thank Debbie especially, as well as everyone involved in caring for their mother.
