Shirley Soule of Kimball, formerly of Watkins, died Monday, Dec. 14, 2009, at the Heritage House in Kimball. She was 81.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 18, at the Kimball United Methodist Church in Kimball with Rev. Luke Nelson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church. Interment will be at the Bethel Memorial Gardens in Mound.
Shirley Soule was born July 22, 1928, in Minneapolis to Walter and Pearl (Ringer) Holm. She married Jack Soule Aug. 15, 1950, at Bethel Methodist Church in Mound. They resided in Mound until moving to Clear Lake near Watkins in 1982. Shirley was employed as a waitress and as a printer for Farm Hand in Hopkins for many years. She was a member of the Kimball United Methodist Church. Her hobbies included sewing, cooking and canning, crafts, and fishing. She also enjoyed traveling and camping. Shirley became a resident at Heritage House in Kimball about three years ago.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother Harvey Holm.
Shirley is survived by her husband Jack Soule of Kimball; child-ren Richard Soule of Pillager, Jackie (and Dave) Bowatz of Coon Rapids, Diane Daluge of Elk River, Suzanne Gordon of Maplewood, Jean Hawkins of Le Sueur; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and brother Howard Holm of Bloomington.
Arrangements are by Ertl Funeral Home of Watkins.
Memorials are preferred to the Kimball United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.
