Ms. Bernardy’s and Mrs. Hauge’s sixth-graders recently participated in their own version of the Greek Olympics as part of a social studies unit. Amanda Loewen, student teacher for Mrs. Hauge’s class, planned the event as a culminating activity complete with costumes. Students worked together to come up with group names, logos and costumes. Various relay competitions were held with prizes awarded to all. It was a great learning experience for everyone involved.
