At their Aug. 7 regular meeting, the South Haven city council granted the snow-removal contract to DLS Landscaping again, for two years, with no rate increase for 2018-19.
There were seven fire calls and nine rescue calls during July. One of the South Haven firefighters has started EMT training.
The Rainbow PlayStation equipment was to be delivered and installed this month (and it was just days later).
The council decided to not give themselves a pay raise.
A special council meeting was set for 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15, to discuss alley work and review public works/maintenance duties and workload.
There are several seats open on the council this election year: Mayor (2-year term), two council members (4-year terms), and one special election council member (2-year term).
South Haven Sports, Mom’s Place, and Bedrock Bar & Grill all passed the alcohol sales compliance check recently done by the County.
The next regular meeting of the South Haven city council will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4.
