We had a mixed bag of weather over the weekend around the state. At times we had sunshine, and other times we had rain and even some spotty hail embedded within some of the stronger cells. The winds also were strong as we had a Wind Advisory that went into effect on Sunday. We even had some frost early Sunday morning as temperatures fell into the low- to mid-30s for overnight lows.
It was good to see the sunshine and warmer air, however, as it worked its way back into the state. High temperatures were into the low- to mid-50s on Monday. If you love those temperatures, you are going to love the temperatures for the midweek and beyond. High temperatures on Wednesday could reach into the mid- to upper-60s and even some lower-70s.
It has certainly been a while since we have experienced the 70s as we have been stuck in a cool and generally cloudy period recently. High pressure will dominate our weather pattern through Friday night before a change comes our way for the weekend. We could see some scattered rain over the weekend.
By the way, with the elevated temperatures, low humidity, and breezy conditions at times, we will have concerns for wildfires around the state. Be safe if you are burning or around fires with these dry conditions.
