It was a pleasant weekend for the Easter weekend as temperatures soared into the 70s across parts of the state. Fairmont, Marshall, and Windom all hit 70 degrees on Saturday. Much of the Twin Cities area rose into the mid-60s.
Many spots in central, west central, and northern Minnesota were in the low- to mid-40s. A few spots touched the low- to mid-50s from Staples, Paynesville, Baudette, and Willmar.
It was so nice that we had more than 20 robins in our backyard on Saturday. These were the first robins that we have seen this spring. It was so fun to hear their beautiful chirping sounds after a very long winter.
Temperatures will continue to be above-average for Wednesday with highs well into the 60s. Some spots in the Twin Cities could climb into the lower 80s.
All of these great temps will come to an end Thursday as a cold front is expected to push through the state, and it could generate some rain and even some snow by Thursday and into the weekend.
