The 7th annual St. Cloud Area Job Fair will be at the St. Cloud Civic Center from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24. The fair is sponsored by the Minnesota WorkForce Center, St. Cloud Area Economic Development Partnership, St. Cloud Technical College and the St. Cloud Times. The job fair is free and open to the public. It is an excellent opportunity for numerous employers and job seekers to meet at one location. “The job fair continues to be a success each year,” said Linda Yozamp, manager of WorkForce Center/Job Service. There were in excess of 2,000 job applicants at last year’s fair. “Almost one-fourth of the registered employers are new to the job fair this year,” Yozamp continued. Since many employers interview or schedule appointments for job applicants right at the job fair, applicants are encouraged to bring copies of their resume, if they have one, and to dress as if they were going to an interview.
