St. Cloud Spin Fest and Fiber Fair is from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, June 7, at Rocking Horse Farm Knitshop north of Luxemburg. The event will include a fiber art marketplace, food trucks, fiber animal display, musical entertainment by singer/songwriter Charlie Roth, and Open Class exhibits. Producers of wool, alpaca, llama, mohair goat, and angora rabbit will be included among the sellers of fiber, yarn, home décor, and locally made goods for sale at the Fiber Fair.
Open Class exhibits may be entered in the fields of handspun skein of yarn, knit item, crochet item, felted item, woven item, and fiber art. Entries will be accepted at the fair site until 11 a.m. Judging will follow, and ribbons will be awarded. Entries will be released for pickup at 4 p.m.
Classes at the event include Intro to Spinning Wheels, The Ancient Craft of Nalbinding, Upcycled Wool Flower Bouquet, Spinning Yarn on an Electric Spinner, and a Youth Fiber Experience.
The event is held at Rocking Horse Farm Knitshop, a historic farmstead about 2 miles north of Luxemburg on County Road 74 (Old Highway 15). Admission is free. Hours are 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
