St. Joseph equestrian to share story at Stearns History Museum

Trainer, instructor turns passion into business; helps riders be their best

Teresa Cotton Johnson, owner and operator of Fieldstone Farm in St. Joseph, will present “The Business of Horsing Around” at
9 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, at the Stearns History Museum. Her presentation is part of the monthly Breakfast Club speaker series.

Fieldstone Farm is Central Minnesota’s premier multi-purpose equestrian center that offers a heated indoor arena and 80 acres of trails, cross country jumps and pasture. Johnson will share her story of how she went from riding wild horses by bareback to training award-winning equestrians in Central Minnesota.

Johnson’s formal training began at the College of
St. Benedict’s Horsemanship Center, where she received a minor in horse management. She has more than 30 years of experience training horses and their riding partners in dressage, hunt seat, jumping and western riding.

The Breakfast Club program is free for Stearns History Museum members and $7 for nonmembers.

Rolls and refreshments are served. The Museum is located at 235 South 33rd Avenue in
St. Cloud.
