State of Minnesota Veterans Day Program

The official State of Minnesota Veterans Day Program is scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, at the Veterans Memorial Community Center in Inver Grove Heights. The Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs, the Minnesota Commanders’ Task Force and Governor Tim Pawlenty invite veterans, families, elected officials and community members to celebrate and honor the Minnesota veterans who have served this country with bravery. This year, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs selected the Minnesota State Vetans Day Program as an official regional site for the 2010 observance.

* Minnesota Deputy Commissioner of Programs and Services Regie Worlds

* Adjutant General of the Minnesota National Guard Maj. Gen. Richard Nash

* U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar

* U.S. Senator Al Franken

* U.S. Congresswoman Betty McCollum
