Monday, Aug. 6, the League of Women Voters of the St. Cloud Area (LWVSCA) will co-sponsor with the Whitney Senior Center, a candidate forum featuring Stearns County Sheriff candidates Dave Bentrud, Bob Dickhaus, and Steve Soyka. The event will be held from 7-
8:30 p.m. at the Whitney Senior Center, 1527 Northway Drive, St. Cloud.
Candidate forums are free and open to the public. Audience members are invited to submit written questions, and the candidates receive equal time to respond.
Candidates Bentrud, Dickhaus, and Soyka will be on the Tuesday, Aug. 14, primary election ballot, along with Dwight Pfannenstein, who has said he is no longer running for the seat. Primary voters can select two candidates for Stearns County Sheriff. The two individuals with the highest vote totals will move on to the general election, Nov. 6.
The League of Women Voters and Whitney Senior Center are both non-partisan organizations, and do not support, endorse or oppose political parties or candidates for office.
