Stearns History Museum to expand hours in 2019

·

The Stearns History Museum will expand its hours to better meet the needs of the community in 2019. The shift to include evening hours will allow those with a daytime work schedule to visit the Museum and its research center during the workweek.

Beginning in January 2019, the museum will be open until
7:30 p.m. the third Tuesday of each month and then twice a week during the summer. Please watch for an upcoming announcement in May regarding our new summer hours.

“The Stearns History Museum is for everyone,” said Carie Essig, the Museum’s executive director. “Working families and individuals cannot always visit during traditional museum hours, so we’re making a change.” The Museum will continue to be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays.

In addition to the evening and weekend hours, the Museum will be open during the following times:

Museum Galleries and Children’s Play Room

10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Tuesday – Friday

10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Saturday
