Stearns Scout Camp will host more than 9,000 Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Venturers, Explorer Scouts, and their leaders the weekend of May 21-23. Planned to be the largest gathering of scouts and leaders in Minnesota history, “StarCamp -The Adventure of the Century,” celebrates the 100th Anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America, as well as the 100th Anniversary of the Northern Star Council of Boy Scouts of America.
A camping extravaganza, StarCamp includes hundreds of activities, exhibits, displays, two arena shows and a spectacular fireworks display. In addition, Scouts will implement the centennial “100,000 Hours of Service” to the community program with the preparation of 100 care packages for Minnesota’s soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan, under the auspices of the Minnesota National Guard.
