KDUZ Outstanding Senior Scholar 2003 This award went to Chris Hunt and Alanna Bowman. Presidential awards Seniors receiving this award for academic excellence were Chris Hunt, Alanna Bowman, Rachel Stein, Carla Henneman, Samantha Bowman, Jonathon Miller, Erin Montonye, Steven Landwehr, Tammy Kuechle, Mark Krippner, Nicole Finifrock and Katie Stockinger. Presidential awards Seniors receiving this award for academic achievement were Matt Schubert, Kyle Wurm, Chris Pramann, Sarah Walker, Alyssa Mackereth and Kadin Rose. Student government Students receiving certificates for participation in student government were Amanda Hentges, Brady Knaeble, Jenny Kunkel, Craig Henneman, Tammy Kuechle, Brianna Libbesmeier, Zach Mackereth, Brandon Hurrle, Amy Arnold, Amelia Hentges, Ashley Caird, Alison Ecker, Kevin Sommers, Kayla Hinkemeyer and Andy Diffley. Varsity Knowledge Bowl Erek Gosh, Frank Hancock, Brandon Hurrle, McCade Libby, Cole Loewen, Josh Orn, Carl Stein, Nick Stein and Casey Williams were recognized for their participation. Jim Asfeld Award The 2003 Jim Asfeld award went to Amanda Linn. FFA awards Alanna Bowman and Luke Becker each received a $400 FFA Scholarship. Social studies award Cole Loewen was the recipient of the 2003 Social studies award. Foreign exchange students Foreign exchange students Tonje Solheim and Nadine Hoeme received gifts from Ms. Imholte and the senior class. Speech team Jen Schefers, Savannah Levinski, Jesi Mancini and Jamie Hanson received letters. Vanessa Varty was named speech “Rookie of the Year.” Carnelian staff Jill Libbesmeier was named senior editor for the 2003-04 school year. Co-editor is Lynn Powell. Art Sarah Walker received an art award for creative achievement. Visual arts letters were awarded to Tonje Solheim, Ryan Chapp, Amanda Linn, Ryan Mull, Erek Gosh, Sarah Walker, Holly Froehling, Zach Mackereth, Chilsea Arens, John White, Jen Bunkholt, Robbie Dammann, Alison Ecker, Jamie Hanson, Janelle Kuechle, Joe Maurer, Vanessa Gillman, Shawn Kendrick, Emily Linn, Matt Mayala and Sean Walker. ECSU students of excellence Chris Hunt, Alanna Bowman and Rachel Stein were named ECSU students of excellence. Math counts Math counts awards were given to Jonathon Green, Patrick Hancock, Morgan McKee and Heather Ryan. SCSU math contest Participants in the SCSU math contest were recognized.
