Resource Training and Solutions honored 129 honorees at the -thirty-fifth Students of Excellence awards banquet held Wednesday, April 26, at St. Cloud River’s Edge Convention Center. 495 people attended the event including area administrators, educators and parents of those being honored.
Seniors from 32 area districts were selected based on exemplary academic achievement, leadership skills, or school/community involvement which can include exemplary, positive role models to fellow students or staff as well as making a difference every day in the lives of fellow students, staff and community. Additional criteria may have been established by individual districts.
The ceremony opened with a welcome address from Mark Schmitz, Executive Director of Resource Training & Solutions. Ken Anderson, Board of Directors chair for Resource Training & Solutions also extended his congratulations to the honorees. Entertainment for the evening was provided by Duelly Noted, an interactive dueling piano act based out of the Twin Cities.
Resource Training & Solutions partners with participating school districts to sponsor the Students of Excellence recognition event. Shari Fruechte, Events and Administrative Coordinator, and the Educational Services team at Resource Training & Solutions coordinate the event.
Honorees from Eden Valley-Watkins are Ava Blonigen, Allison Brutger, Reagan Hennen, and Hailey Ramthun.
Honorees from Kimball Area High School are Katheryn Donnay, Jackson Fink, Brielle Kangas, and Morgan Streit.
