Summer camp for kids at Ridgewater-Willmar campus

A summer camp for students who are currently completing grades 7, 8 or 9 is scheduled from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., Monday through Thursday, July 19-22 at the Willmar campus of Ridgewater College. The camp provides class options in many program areas including Crime Stoppers/Forensic Science, the World of Hooves, Paws and Claws, robot building, Hip-hop dancing, auto body applications, Tool Time, the World of Business, health careers, computer publishing, Just for the Health of It, Explorations with Numbers, computer basics, photography, What’s Freaky about Friday, and sports skills development. In addition, special activities are provided during each noon hour. On the last day of camp, family members are invited to join the campers for displays, presentations and snacks. The cost is $75 per student and includes four days of hands-on supervised classes and activities, materials, lunches and a T-shirt. Early registration is encouraged because class size is limited.
