The Paramount Center for the Arts is thrilled to announce its schedule of summer performances, movies, and art camps. Tickets went on sale at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 1.

Concert schedule

New and familiar faces take the stage at the Paramount this summer.

• Thursday, June 8 – Country legend, Ronnie McDowell kicks things off.

• Saturday, June 10 – Return of the tap dance collective Radiant Rhythm and their performance “The Ground Sound.”

• Thursday, July 20 – Mollie B & Squeezebox bring the fun with their award-winning polka music.

• Thursday, August 3 – Local youth rock the stage for the Wirth Center’s “School of Rock.”

• Thursday, Aug. 24, and Friday, Aug. 25 – Wrapping up the summer schedule is the perennial favorite, “I Am He Said: Celebrating the Music of Neil Diamond” starring Matt Vee & The Killer Vees.

Cult Classics movie series

This summer, the Paramount is pleased to announce the return of movies on the big screen. Cult Classics is this year’s theme, featuring some of the most familiar titles in the catalog. Some special features go along with this revived movie experience, including a costume contest and featured beverage for each show. Tickets will be just $5 with no additional fees.

• Tuesday, June 20 – The Big Lebowski (1998).

• Tuesday, July 18 – The Breakfast Club (1985).

• Tuesday, Aug. 15 – Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory (1971).

Art camps for youth

The Paramount’s summer art camps are packed with opportunities for youth to work with clay, painting, drawing, mixed media, glass projects, and more. Camps are open to students ages 7-14, from those with little or no experience to students who are seasoned creators. Spaces fill quickly, so families are encouraged to register early.

Tickets went on sale and class registrations opened at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 1.
