Sy’s fight for sight, Sept. 25

On June 10, 2021, the Jansen family’s worst fears were confirmed when their oldest child Sy, a second-grader at St. Mary’s Help of Christians School in St. Augusta, and a very active boy, was diagnosed with a retinoblastoma (cancer of the eye).

A fundraiser is planned for Saturday, Sept. 25, with a beanbag tournament at 1 p.m. Pre-register and pay at the Club Almar Bar & Grill in St. Augusta – $20 per team of two people – this will be a 50/50 payout; to donate a silent auction item, please drop it off along with your name at Club Almar; there will be a meat raffle, 50/50, silent raffle throughout the event (must be present at 8 p.m. to claim winnings from the auction); there will be three piggy banks circulating to fill prior to the event and then auctioned off at the event; brats and chips will be available for $3.

All proceeds will be used to help with medical bills, household bills, and travel expenses.

Call Lori Dammann at (320) 224-8691 or Club Almar staff if you have any questions.
