This year, I’d like to ask that you transform your appreciation into action. As you know, public education and our profession have been under attack and targeted for significant reductions in federal funding. Annually, the EV-W district receives approximately $910,000 in federal funding used to provide tutoring and academic interventions, and to support students with disabilities. You can ensure that our teachers are treated with the respect and dignity they deserve by writing a letter to your area representative, posting a supportive message on social media, or sharing a story of appreciation with a neighbor.
