Temps in the 40s with some clouds and no precipitation

This time of the year can be unpredictable and wide-ranging in what kind of weather that we can receive here in Minnesota. We had record or near-record high temperatures Monday before another winter storm hit parts of Minnesota.

This system brought rain and snow to Minnesota, with the heaviest moisture in southeastern Minnesota. Other areas saw some rain along with some snow move in Monday night into Tuesday. Just when you thought the snow was behind us, we had a reminder that we really aren’t out of the woods for snow until early May across the area.

On the backside of this system, it will be drier but very windy Wednesday into Wednesday night. We could experience some gusts to 40 mph at times throughout the day.

Our dry weather should stay with us through the weekend. By Sunday, some locations in Minnesota should be in the 50s with some lower 70s possible in parts of southern Minnesota.

In case you are wondering, the 6- to 10-day outlook indicates that we should have above-normal temperatures and below-normal precipitation.
