The American Red Cross visited Eden Valley Wednesday, Jan. 25. Thank you to all the volunteers who made this blood drive a success.
Thank you to the Legion and the Legion Auxiliary for serving in the canteen and picking up the tab for the snacks. Thank you to the members of the St. Paul?Äôs Lutheran Church for serving the meal for the workers. Thanks to the American Dairy Association for the donation of the butter and cheese. Thanks to all who helped advertise; the Tri-County News, EV-W Voice, other local papers, marquee, churches, local businesses, radio and television stations.
A special thank you to the school; staff, students, administration, facility use, janitors, kitchen help, and everyone else who had a hand in helping make the day run smoothly.
A warm-hearted ?Äúthank you?Äù to the donors, nice to see all the familiar faces coming back each time, but it was heartwarming to see first-time donors step up to a new experience (they found their courage). The end result was
82 units collected!
The American Red Cross is always looking for new donors and donors who have given in the past to come out and be the hero for patients in need.
There are two more donation dates set for 2017 in Eden Valley: Tuesday, May 2, and Wednesday, Aug. 9.
