Acclaimed photographer and author, Doug Ohman, will present about the impact of The New Deal In Minnesota, at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, in the Centennial Room of the Cokato Public Library.
The alphabet soup that was the New Deal, including agencies with acronyms such as AAA, CCC, HOLC, PWA, NRA, and REA, left an indelible mark on our state. While many of those marks are easily identifiable, countless others are not. Ohman?Äôs presentation will cover the many ways the New Deal impacted Minnesota and will be an enjoyable one for anyone who had a family member who was hired by the New Deal during the years of the Great Depression.
This program is free and open to the public. Copies of Ohman?Äôs books will be available for sale. Please call (320) 286-2427, if you have any questions.
This presentation is co-sponsored by the Cokato Historical Society and the Friends of the Cokato Library.
