1965
The newly formed Central Valley league got under way as four games were played.
Three of the games were decided by lopsided scores as St. Augusta topped Luxemburg 9-1, Watkins defeated St. Nicholas 9-1 and Rockville clubbed Kimball 9-2.
The only close game turned into a pitching duel as Pearl Lake edged Eden Valley 3-2. Herb Libbesmeier, one of the best pitchers of that era, topped another strong hurler, Bob Theis.
