After mixing batter for the Fire Department?Äôs Pancake Breakfast for 30 years, Paul Gannon decided to hang up his apron, and pass the torch. He handed the job to Paul Arnold, and Aaron Knaus. Gannon retired from the Fire Department 5 years earlier, and decided that it was time to let this go too.

20 years ago

The Kimball Area High School held their annual Easter Egg Hunt for first-graders of Kimball Elementary School. They hid plastic eggs in the media center, and then the eggs were traded in for candy by the first-graders.

30 years ago

Bill Liedman recorded the third perfect game ever at Aqua Lanes on Friday, April 3. He was bowling the early shift on the Dingmann Funeral Home Team in the Town and Country League, when he scored his 300th point.

40 years ago

Mary Klein, senior at Kimball Area High School, placed first in the Humorous Category in the Wright County Conference Speech Tournament.Compiled by Raven Koltes
