Devin Rosenow had received many awards at Itasca Community College, following the 2006 Vikings football seasons. The former Kimball Cubs graduate from the Class of 2006 earned All-Region Second Team Lineman for the 2006 football season. Rosenow also was selected as the Outstanding Offensive Lineman of the Year for the Vikings.

Christopher Liedman, son of Bill and Barb Liedman, received his Eagle Scout award at a candlelight Eagle Scout Court of Honor. This was held at the Kimball Fire Hall. Guest speakers included Liedman?Äôs uncle, Eagle Scout Mike Ryan, and Liedman?Äôs great-uncle and former Minnetonka Scoutmaster, Erle Draxton.

Around the New Year, 30 years ago, there was barely any snow on the ground in the Kimball area. Despite this, Powder Ridge Ski Area provided their man-made snow for many skiers and snowboarders to enjoy.

Bowling was a much bigger sport than it is now. At Aqualanes Bowling Alley in Kimball, some bowlers scored some pretty high points. M. Stenger scored 230, D. Nistler scored 222, and
D. Weber and J. Fuchs scored 220.
