Aviation pioneer (and local native) Rhea Hurrle-Woltman and 12 others secretly trained to become America?Äôs first female astronauts. 

A motorcyclist crashed into the side of a home on Main Street in downtown Kimball; he was taken to the hospital by Watkins Ambulance.

The KAHS Prom was held at Powder Ridge; the theme of the prom was ?ÄúStairway to Heaven.?Äù 

30 years ago

The KAHS Class of ?Äô87 graduated 68 students. Brothers Larry and Jerry Hechtel of Watkins were the first recipients of the new Jim Asfeld School Advocate award, presented at graduation by Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Asfeld. 

Keith Arens bowled a perfect 300 at Aqua Lanes.

40 years ago

The Kimball dance program began June 8. The Community Club held a Steak Night.
