Lorraine Dingmann celebrated her 95th birthday by going on a one-mile wagon ride, as part of her son Art?Äôs 450-mile horseback journey across Minnesota to raise awareness and funds for Camp Amanda. 

Victory Lane Auto Care in Kimball held a grand opening event May 5; the business moved to  Browerville a couple of years later.

20 years ago

Walter and Evelyn Schneider celebrated their 50th anniversary. 

Floods devastated parts of Minnesota including Halstad; the city of Kimball held a car wash with funds going towards flood relief for that town. 

30 years ago

The 1987 Kimball Prom as held at the Sunwood Inn in St. Cloud. Their theme was ?ÄúBound for Destiny,?Äù a line from the song ?ÄúWill You Still Love Me??Äù and the band was ?ÄúFront Page?Äù from Willmar. 

Jack and Inez Vincent celebrated their 50th anniversary May 3.

40 years ago

The U.S. Postal Inspector still sought answers to the criminal act nearly a year earlier where a bomb exploded in the Kimball Post Office. The reward was increased to $50,000.
