Benefits Catholic Charities Domus Transitional Housing in February

Thrivent financial advisors in the St. Cloud area are sponsoring a two-week diaper drive benefiting mothers and children of Catholic Charities Domus Transitional Housing, a residential program in St. Cloud for women-led families.

The Domus Diaper Drive starts Monday, Feb. 12, and continues through Friday, Feb. 23. Donations of new diaper packages and wipes can be delivered to the Thrivent office at 2700 1st St. N., Suite 100 in St. Cloud during normal business hours, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Thursday. There is also a box outside of the building for drop-offs. The office is in the 2700 Building, located behind Firestone Complete Auto Care.

The goal is to collect 5,000 diapers for Domus mothers, and the greatest need is for diaper sizes 3 to 6. Domus Transitional Housing is designed for mothers age 18 and older with children from newborn to age 12. Domus serves women committed to positive change for themselves and their children by helping to seek and maintain employment, education, sobriety, permanent housing, financial stability, and more.

For questions about the Domus Diaper Drive, contact Keri Bösl, Catholic Charities Marketing & Public Relations Manager, at keri.bosl@ccstcloud.org or (320) 650-1641.

Did you know?

Did you know that one-third of Minnesota babies and toddlers don’t have enough clean diapers? Parents in our state are facing the tragic choice between purchasing enough food for their family or keeping their little ones clean and healthy.

And did you know that public assistance like food stamps or WIC cannot be used for diapers? Parents who receive financial aid to feed their families still bear the full burden of providing diapers for their youngest children.
