Top DFLers to meet in Willmar

·

The DFL Party State Central Committee will host its quarterly meeting in Willmar Saturday, Sept. 20. “It’s unusual for the DFL’s governing body to be meeting in rural Minnesota, and Willmar is fortunate to have a chance to host this gathering,” state Rep. Al Juhnke (DFL-Willmar) said.    “This will be a chance for DFL party leaders from all over Minnesota to have a look at our rural community – including our drought conditions.” The State Central Committee consists of nearly 300 people elected by DFLers in each county or Senate District across the state. The business meeting is set for 11 a.m. at Willmar Senior High School, followed by a series of party volunteer training and information sessions. The event is open to all DFLers. The day concludes with a hog roast at the Greg Knutson farm south of Grove City from 4:30-8 p.m. The event is also open to all DFLers at a cost of $10, including food, beverages, hayrides and music. To get to the Knutson farm, take Highway 4 south from Grove City through Rosendale. The farm is located 1.5 miles from the intersection of Highway 4 and County Highway 28 on the south side of the road.
