·

A run by Derrick Orth on a single by Mitch Ergen in the final play of the game Sunday, May 7, cinched the win for the Brewers, winning 9-8 over the Watkins Clippers at Luxemburg.

The Clippers started out hot, with three runs in the first inning, by the first three batters: Kevin Kramer, Lincoln Haugen, and Dan Berg. They scored another three in the fourth inning on a single by Gary Peters and a double by Kevin Kramer. Another two runs in the sixth ?Äì both on a RBI single by Haugen ?Äì had the Clippers in the lead.

Luxemburg was hot scoring as well, though. After the sixth inning, the teams were tied 8-8. Until the bottom of the ninth when Orth crossed the plate.

Trevor Koenig earned the win for the Brewers. Heath Kramer too the loss for the Clippers.
