Eden Valley-Watkins met up with some tough competition last weekend. The girls lost to Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted, 9-1, Friday, May 5. EV-W freshman Halle Jansen was 3 for 3 at the plate. Then on Saturday, May 6, the Eagles traveled to Alexandria for a varsity invite mini-tournament. They fell to the Jamestown, N.D., Blue Jays by a final tally of 7-5. And in another very competitive contest, EV-W lost to an excellent Alexandria team, 7-4.
