At 7:35 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 9, a car headed westward on Hwy. 55 drove through the stop signal given by a school bus headed east and came into contact with a student. 9-1-1 was called, and Kimball Police, along with State Patrol and Watkins ambulance arrived on the scene. The student was treated and released into a parent’s custody. The student was reported alright and was back in school that day. According to the State Patrol, the driver, who was given a citation at the scene, didn’t see the signal until the last minute, then stopped.
