The Tri-CAP Transit Connection will increase bus service in Benton and Stearns counties beginning Sept. 2. Tri-CAP is adding another bus to the Dial-A-Ride bus service. The bus service operates Monday-Friday from 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Busses run between seven and 10 hours per day. Routes change daily depending on requests. The Transit Connection is public busing for anyone needing transportation in rural Benton and eastern Stearns counties outside of the St. Cloud Metro Bus district. Rides can also be given into or out of the St. Cloud Metro Bus district. The Transit Connection is open to all ages for all types of rides. There are no income or eligibility guidelines. In-city trips are $1 per boarding, and rural-to-city or city-to-city trips are $5 per person, per day. Payment is due upon boarding.
