A two-car accident took place Sunday, July 6, about 1:30 p.m. on Highway 15, south of Kimball. Gerald Heitz, 55, of South Haven was the driver of a 1999 Ford Explorer. Norbert Pereira, 48, of Litchfield was the driver of a 2001 Ford Explorer. The two vehicles met in a right angle crash that caused one vehicle to roll over and required the assistance of the Kimball Fire Department, state patrol and flight for life. One person was air lifted to the St. Cloud Hospital, and four of the other passengers in the vehicles were also transported to the hospital. No life threatening injuries resulted from the accident.
