Tuesday, Dec. 20, at 7:57 p.m. the Stearns County Sheriff?Äôs Office received information of a crash with injuries on County Road 7 just north of Dellwood Road in Fairhaven Township. The crash location is approximately two miles south of St. Augusta.
A 2007 Dodge Caravan being driven by Jennifer Olsen, age 38 of Annandale, was traveling southbound on County Road 7. A 2004 Ford Ranger being driven by Dean Kivisto, age 19 of Cokato, was traveling northbound. Kivisto lost control of his vehicle and crossed over the centerline crashing into Olsen. Kivisto received minor injuries and was not transported to the hospital. Olsen was taken to the St. Cloud Hospital for her injuries. Speed and icy road conditions appear to be the cause of the crash.
South Haven Rescue and Gold Cross Ambulance assisted at the crash.
The Sheriff?Äôs Office reminds drivers to drive appropriately for the road conditions and to be cautious for quickly changing conditions during the winter months.
