U.S. Rep. Michelle Fischbach June 11, 2023
·
I am so proud and honored to represent Minnesota’s 7th District in Congress and I wanted to take a moment to let you know about some of the ways my team is here to work for you.
Request for Farm Bill Stakeholder input
Congress wants to hear from the ag community as we build the 2023 Farm Bill reauthorization. The deadline to submit stakeholder feedback has been extended. Please take the time to submit your feedback by Friday, June 16.
Fall Internships and Student Resources
My office is now accepting Fall internship applications for my Willmar, Moorhead, and D.C. offices. If you are interested in first-hand knowledge of how federal legislation works or know someone who is, please visit my website.
My office offers several opportunities for students throughout the year, including the Congressional App Challenge, Congressional Art Competition, and my unique ability to nominate students to military academies. For more information on all of our student resources, visit my website at fischbach.house.gov.
Veterans’ Services
I am so proud of and grateful for the 7th District’s men and women in uniform, their families, and the sacrifices you’ve all made in service to your country. On my website, you can find some of the services offered to you by the state and federal governments. If you have any questions or require further assistance, do not hesitate to reach out to my office.
D.C. Tours and tickets
If you are planning a visit to Washington, D.C., my office would love to help make it a trip to remember. Please contact my office for assistance with scheduling Capitol tours, White House tours, and more.
Order an American Flag
Through the Capitol Flag Program, constituents of Minnesota’s Seventh Congressional District can purchase a U.S. flag from my office at aoc.gov. Flags are available in different sizes and fabrics; you may also choose to have your new flag flown over the U.S. Capitol for an additional charge. Flags flown over the Capitol include a certificate, which may be personalized for a particular person, event, or organization.
If you would like to order a U.S. flag from our office, please use the flag order form at flagorder.house.gov. Accepted forms of payment include e-Checks (ACH), all major credit and debit cards, and mailed checks. Please note that paying by mailed check may delay your order by up to six weeks due to extended processing requirements.
Most outdoor flags can be washed in mild detergent and thoroughly rinsed. Indoor and parade flags should be dry-cleaned. Damaged flags can be repaired and used as long as the overall dimensions are not noticeably altered. American Legion Posts and local governments often have facilities to dispose of unserviceable flags. Store your flag in a clean, well ventilated area.
Additionally, if you would like to request a Congressional Commendation or a Presidential Greeting for someone living in Minnesota’s Seventh Congressional District, you can do that at fischbach.house.gov.
Grants, Federal Domestic Assistance, and help with a Federal Agency
If you can’t get an answer from a federal agency in a timely fashion, or if you feel you have been treated unfairly, my office may be able to help. While we cannot guarantee you a favorable outcome, we will do our best to help you receive a fair and timely response to your problem.
You can also visit my website at fischbach.house.gov for help finding information on federal grants, loans, and nonfinancial assistance, as well as on private funding.
Thanks for reading.
As always, my office is open and ready to serve constituents of Minnesota’s Seventh Congressional District. Please do not hesitate to get in touch if there is anything I can do to help. Have a great week.
Michelle Fischbach, Member of Congress
