Kimball Library Presents: 1000 Books Before Kindergarten ?Äì ongoing 

1,000 Books Before Kinder-garten is a reading program designed to increase awareness of early literacy and encourage parents to embrace their role as their child?Äôs first teacher. Plus, there are prizes! This program is ongoing, so you can sign up any time during library hours. No limit. Sponsored by the Kimball Lions Club and Great River Regional Library.

Tech tutors ?Äì May 15 

Trouble understanding your laptop, iPad, Kindle or other electronic devices? Would you like to download books from the library website or use ebooks MN, but aren?Äôt sure how to proceed? A tech tutor is here to help! Call ahead or drop in for individual help from 5:30-6:45 p.m. Monday, May 15, and get the help of a Great River Regional Librarian.

Bill Jamerson presents … UP in the U.P.! ?Äì May 16 

They came from countries like Finland, Sweden, Croatia, and Italy, with little more than the shirts on their backs. They came for the American dream and found it in the iron range cities of the Upper Penninsula. Join author/songwriter/filmmaker Bill Jamerson at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 16,
for a journey back to the days of timber hoisters, powder monkeys and muckmen. You?Äôll hear songs about children bringing pasties to their dads, picking thimbleberries, Saturday night saunas, ski jumping, and more! Bill will perform after lunch at the Kimball Senior Dining Center. Seniors who plan to eat should contact Rosalea at (320) 398-2211, Ext. 13 by May 9, to make a reservation. For all ages.
