Veterans don?Äôt stop giving
Even after war
It?Äôs in their nature to give
Like they?Äôve always done before!
There?Äôs a certain way about them
That stands out very clear
And it never takes you very long
To know that they are near.
They stand so very tall
Regardless of their height
And always speak respectfully
Whether morning, noon, or night.
With Veterans Day so near
You may start to look around
And see what I?Äôve been saying
For these facts you?Äôll see abound.
Veterans are a special group
And care that we are free
And if we didn?Äôt have them
Who knows just where we?Äôd be?
So on this Veterans Day
Say thanks to all who served
With a passing nod or smile
Which I know they well deserve!
