Volleyball season comes to an end

·

The Kimball junior high volleyball team played its final matches of the season against the Howard Lake-Waverly Lakers. The Cubs had several outstanding goals to work on, but they fell short of final victory. Game scores were 23-25; 20-25; 25-14; and 23-25. The Cubs were successful in some of their goals, which is encouraging for the future of Kimball volleyball. The girls set the ball 12 times, served 70 percent, won one game, only dropped four balls, had 27 service aces, and continued to work on performing the offense used by the JV and Varsity. These young athletes have practiced hard, met demanding challenges, and overcame a lot of adversity to have a good understanding and knowledge of the game of volleyball. Coach Pelzer wishes them the best as they travel through the ranks as the future members of Kimball volleyball teams. Thank you for a great season and “Let’s play volleyball!” Coach Pelzer’s team members were Laura Arnold, Dani Cin, Mary Deutsch, Holly Garding, Mindy Hurrle, Jamie Krantz, Theresa Kummer, Amanda Kus-eske, Kayla Mertens, Christie Nelson, Brianna Rosenow, Char-lotte Ryan, Ashley Schiefelbein, Brittnay Simmons, Caitlin Thur-ber and Vanessa Varty.
